The best Golpo AI alternative depends on what you need that Golpo doesn’t give you. For videos longer than 10 minutes, lessons with math, or narration in your own voice without a business plan, we’d pick Chasca, which we make. StrokeVideo gives you a free video every day, AnimatedBoard voice cloning from its first paid plan, Sketchie scene edits you describe in a sentence, and Simi the most minutes per plan. To build each scene yourself, try VideoScribe or Doodly. If you mostly re-prompt single frames, stay with Golpo.

How did we choose and check these tools?

  • What’s included: AI tools that make the whole narrated whiteboard video from a prompt or a document, as Golpo does; then, briefly, software where you build each scene yourself.
  • How we checked: we read each tool’s own pages between 2 and 4 November 2026, and each section names them. Where a page doesn’t say something, we say so. Prices change, so check before you buy.
  • Our bias: we make Chasca. We say where another tool is the better choice, and every claim about another tool links to its own pages.
  • Not included: avatar tools such as HeyGen and Synthesia. For a wider list, see the best AI whiteboard video generators.

What is Golpo good at, and when should you stay with it?

Golpo turns a prompt or a document into a narrated whiteboard video, and lets you edit the finished video frame by frame with a prompt: one edit free, then each one charged. Stay with it if you work that way, if you want to set scene breaks before the video is made (from Growth), or if you’d rather pay yearly, at 40% to 50% off, or buy minutes with no plan, with color, logo and voice cloning included.

Look elsewhere if you need long videos (Starter and Creator stop at 2 minutes, and anything past 10 needs a $200 add-on or Enterprise), color on a plan under $199.99, your own voice on a plan under $499.99, a language outside its 46, or a free video you can download. More in Golpo vs Chasca.

  • Good for: your own recording, or a voice cloned from a short reading, on every paid plan; videos up to 15 minutes on every plan; a free minute with no watermark.

  • Good for: a voice cloned from a 10-second clip, from Pro; videos up to 10 minutes; an API at 1 credit a minute and an MCP server for Claude.
  • Watch out for: 13 narration languages, no mention of editing a finished video, and an upgrade page that, seen signed out, said plans were launching soon, so we couldn’t confirm they’re on sale.
  • Free and price: 2 free credits, with no card, for a limited time; then listed from $29 a month for about 15 minutes to $249 for about 160.

Would you rather build each scene yourself?

These give you an editor, not a finished video, and some draft a first version with AI.

  • VideoScribe: a canvas where you build each scene, with AI images, scripts and (on Core and Max) voiceovers; $150 to $320 a year in the US, for videos of 5 to 20 minutes (pricing; VideoScribe vs Chasca).
  • Doodly: a Windows and Mac app where you drag drawings and text onto each scene, with no AI mentioned; from $49 a month (pricing; Doodly vs Chasca).
  • Animaker: AI drafts scenes, characters and a voiceover from a prompt for you to edit; 3 watermarked downloads a month free, then $45 a month or $25 billed yearly (whiteboard, pricing).
  • simpleshow: illustrates your script’s key words in black and white and advises videos of 3 to 4 minutes at most; 3 branded renders a month free, then $129 a month or $79 billed yearly (pricing, FAQ).
  • Powtoon: AI turns a PDF, Word file or deck into a video you then edit, and its whiteboard tools use hand-drawn graphics; no AI credits on Free, then $15 a month billed yearly (pricing, doc to video, whiteboard).
  • Renderforest: whiteboard videos assembled from ready-made doodle scenes, from $15 a month, or $9 billed yearly (whiteboard, pricing).
