Acceptable use policy
Last updated 20 October 2026
Chasca is for making clear, honest explainer videos. This policy is part of our terms of service and applies to everything you give Chasca, everything you make with it, and how you use the website, the app, the API, the SDK, the command-line tool and the MCP server.
1. Content you must not make or upload
- Anything illegal where you live or where it will be shown, or that promotes illegal activity.
- Content that sexualises minors in any way, sexually explicit content, or content that exploits or endangers children.
- Content that threatens, harasses or bullies people, or attacks people for their race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Content that encourages violence, terrorism, self-harm or suicide.
- Instructions for making weapons capable of mass harm, malware, or other content designed to cause serious harm.
- Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights, including documents, web pages, images, logos or recordings you do not have permission to use.
- Personal data about others that you have no right to share, such as someone’s contact details or records.
2. Honesty and real people
- Do not present a Chasca video as a real recording of a real person, or make it appear that a real person said or endorsed something they did not.
- Do not use a voice or likeness of a real person in reference recordings unless it is your own or you have their clear permission.
- Do not make videos intended to deceive people, such as fake news, scams, phishing, fake reviews or impersonation of a person or organisation.
- Do not use Chasca to mislead people about elections or voting, or for medical, financial or legal claims you know to be false.
3. Using the Service fairly
- Do not try to break into, probe, scan or test the security of the Service, or get around its limits, watermarks, plan limits or rate limits.
- Do not overload the Service, or use bots or scripts outside the API to make videos.
- Do not create several accounts to get extra free videos or referral credits, or share an account or API key beyond what your plan allows.
- Do not copy, scrape or resell the Service, its drawings, icons or voices, or use its output to build a competing service or to train AI models.
- Do not ask Chasca to read pages behind a login or pages you are not allowed to copy.
4. What happens if this policy is broken
We may remove content, turn off share links, limit features, revoke API keys, or suspend or close accounts that break this policy, and we may report illegal content to the authorities where the law requires. Where it is reasonable, we will tell you what was wrong and give you a chance to fix it.
5. Reporting misuse
If you see a Chasca video that breaks this policy, tell us from the app with “Report a problem”. We are setting up a dedicated address for reports from people without an account and will publish it here.
