Features Your voiceover

Turn your voiceover into a whiteboard video.

Chasca can use your own recording as the narration of a whiteboard video. Attach a lesson, a talk or a voiceover on the Create page and tick Use as the narration. The video keeps every word as you said it, and each drawing appears as you name it.

Recordings of up to 1 minute on Free and 30 minutes on paid plans.

The Create page in the Chasca app with a recording attached, a 2 minute 48 second file, and the Use as the narration switch turned on, above a waveform of the recording split into three scenes.

How it works

From a recording to a finished video in four steps.

  1. 1

    Attach the recording

On the Create page, attach an audio file, or a video with your voice on it.

  2. 2

    Tick Use as the narration

The switch sits on the attachment card. Add a line on what the video should show, or leave it to Chasca.

  3. 3

    Watch it draw

Chasca writes down every word, splits the recording into scenes at your sentence ends and draws each idea as you say it.

  4. 4

    Change one thing

Turn on subtitles, switch the style or add music, free. The words stay exactly as you said them.

FAQ

Yes. On the Create page, attach the recording and tick Use as the narration. The video uses your recording word for word, and the board draws in time with it. Recordings can run up to 1 minute on Free and up to 30 minutes on paid plans.

A custom voice reads any new script in a voice that sounds like you. Use as the narration keeps a recording you already made, exactly as you said it: Chasca draws to it, without rewriting or reading it again. More on custom voices.

The words stay as you said them, because they are your recording. You can still change the subtitles, style or music for free. To hear the same words in another voice, change the Voice: a narrator or one of your custom voices reads them in a new video.

Audio files such as MP3, WAV, M4A, OGG, AAC and FLAC, and videos with your voice on them, such as MP4, MOV, WebM, MKV and M4V. Only the sound is used. The recording needs at least 4 seconds of speech.

Yes, a segment of one, up to 30 minutes on a paid plan. For a longer episode, cut out the part worth showing first. To turn a whole recording into a shorter video in a narrator’s voice instead, attach it without ticking Use as the narration.
